Providing Medical Welfare Services.
The officers of the social services department and the development officers (social services) are appointed full time or part time to most of the base hospitals to provide welfare services to the patients with low income. Such officials intervene to interconnect various institutions, departments, parties and divisional secretariats all around the island to provide welfare services below mentioned for the hospitalized patients with low income.
- Coordinating for medical assistance.
- Coordinating for granting the essential helping aids for hospitalized handicapped.
- Coordinating for raising domestic infra-structure facilities of the handicapped who are hospitalized.
